The perception of the world and its conceptualization in Yulia Artemyeva's artistic practice manifests itself through the prism of myths and magic. Applying methods of magical realism and sticking to the gaming principle of avant-garde, Yulia mainly experiments with photography, collage and assemblage.

Taking into account the fast changing social and cultural context, I'm interested in the alternative vision of escapism of today.

Yulia has solo exhibitions in France and Russia, she is a participant of international photo festival programs and international group exhibitions in Russia, Europe, USA and Asia. Yulia cooperates with Agency "Plainpicture", Germany. The author's photos are in private collections in France, Russia.

In 2022 Yulia was awarded the title of Master of FIAP (MFIAP) from The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
