Born in July 2007, photography and art were and are omnipresent in Julia’s family with a mother and sister engaged in drawings and paintings and a father committed to photography on a national and international level. Her first encounter with the art of taking pictures started very early with the age of 4 years when she got her first camera. That was the time when she started taking pictures and the fact of travelling a lot in her early years, brought her a large variety of subjects. Julia’s portfolio includes essentially street- and travel photography such as portraits but also animal, landscape and eventually architecture shots.

Julia is participating in FIAP Youth Biennials and won the Luxembourgish Championship of Photography for Youth for the years 2012 to 2015. The same year she participated in Kaohsiung International Photographer Exhibition in Taiwan where she presented pictures from her country. In 2019 she got awarded the famous Edward Steichen prize for Youth granted by the town of Roeser the place of Steichen’s origins.
